About Us
Who We Are
The VDSGRC was established in 1972 by Golden Retriever owners and enthusiasts to pursue ways of promoting and enjoying their Golden Retrievers. Our members participate in conformation, dock diving, obedience, field, agility, rally and tracking exhibitions. Some of us are breeders and pet owners-alike. At the end of the day, we are all interested in preserving the standard and special qualities of the Golden Retriever!

VDSGRC is licensed to conduct Sanctioned Specialty Matches, Specialty Shows, Field Events, and Obedience Events under the rules of the AKC. We would like to invite you to attend our meetings, participate, and share in your love of the Golden Retriever! Pet owners are welcome! Contact us via our email and introduce yourself.

***A highly contagious upper respiratory infection in dogs has been occurring in many parts of the country, with symptoms similar to canine influenza, kennel cough, the cause of the illness has not yet been determined.
